Our Core Team

Mike Barr

Mike is Managing Director at Watertrace and has a total 25 years consulting to financial services across Europe, Asia and the USA. He worked for 9 years with E&Y Consulting as Director of Performance Improvement and IT and 10 years in strategy, improvement portfolios and business transformation in insurance. His experience covers a range of financial services clients including Brit, AXA, Mitsui Sumitomo. Mike has BSc (Hons), Masters in Accounting, MBA from universities in USA and Australia.

Ross Gow

Ross has been in the London Market for 23 years. He was a Director in the North American Division of CT Bowring (Marsh) for 9 years, Marketing Director for Sherwood International for 6 years, and a partner in City PR firm Cubitt Consulting, advising Xchanging, Hiscox, Markel and Torus. He now advises Watertrace and is an Executive Director of AJ Gallagher.

Anthea Shaw

Anthea is Head of Operations at Watertrace and is an established business expert with vast insurance systems design, development and implementation experience having worked for multiple vendors (e.g. Xchanging, Sungard, Lloyds etc.). She has worked in all areas of the insurance industry, including the Lloyds & Companies London Market, UK, Europe, USA and Canada.

Andy Childs

Andy Childs is our Head of Technology. He has been involved in numerous development projects designing technology frameworks to support business solutions within the insurance market. He also has extensive system implementation experience, including Policy Administration Systems, Data Warehouses and Data Transformation tools.

Christopher Abraham

Chris is an experienced software developer with a core focus on the Insurance industry. Chris has designed and implemented a binder management solution and in the past he has also designed rating engines with the aid of software design patterns for commercial lines insurance. He has also worked on point of sale solutions, website design and back office solutions.

Dan Sizer

Dan is a Business and Technical Analyst who has successfully delivered insurance projects throughout their lifecycles, involving Data Warehousing, Interface development and design, and business reporting. He is proficient in multiple programming languages and technologies and has worked in a range of IT areas managing technology solution implementations across multiple sectors.

Elizabeth Rogula

Elizabeth Rogula has worked in the Lloyd's insurance market for more than 25 years, for the last 10 as Operations Director of Lloyd's Japan. She chairs the Lloyd's Forum, which is a networking group for senior women in Lloyd's and London insurance market. She also sits on the corporate advisory panel of the Suzy Lamplugh Trust and is a member of YouGovStone ThinkTank. She has been a business mentor for several years, working with year 10 students from various schools within Tower Hamlets. The City of London is a very important part of her life, both professionally and personally.

Elysha Fisher

Elysha Fisher is a consultant with a specific focus upon business accounting. With over three years accounting experience, Elysha has been engaged in Business Process Re-engineering for a Finance Department within a large FTSE100 insurer. More recently, Elysha has designed and implemented a new payment system to enable credit cards payments interfacing with multiple payment mechanisms.

Fabrice Gbotta

Fabrice is an experienced insurance analyst, having had stints at various firms including Chaucer and Ace. He combines a detailed understanding of insurance process with strong technology skills and has delivered key data transformation for a number of London Market firms.

Johanna Ward

Johanna is a Business Change Consultant and Project Manager with over 5 years of consulting experience in the Financial Services industry. Her qualifications in Organisational change and project management enables her to create and facilitate workshops focused upon successful change within any organisation. Her prior engagements include Business Process Optimisation, Skills Gap Identification, Business Strategy Development and Sales Strategy Development. She has clear project management expertise including managing a finance system implementation and the interface creation between a PAS and GL system.

Jonathan Mooney

Jonathan is a specialist software engineer with a highly skilled capacity to quickly understand and transform business problems into software solutions. Equipped with a computer science degree from the University of Manchester, Jonathan has the practical approach backed by a theoretical grounding in the fundamentals of technology and the most up-to-date toolsets.

Paul Oster

Paul has over 5 years of consultancy experience in Financial Services. He has extensive experience in programme and project management coupled with a focus on effectively delivering process re-design and implementation within organisations. His recent experience includes the programme management of a portfolio of change projects within a major insurer including the implementation of a Policy Administration System, General Ledger, Data Warehouse, and associated data conversion activities.

Peter Deegan

Peter is an experienced and skilled IT analyst. He has assisted in the design and implementation of IT systems in both financial services and the construction sector. He has led the planning and execution of IT projects including infrastructure relocation, server virtualisation, website design, platform migration, establishment of IT Support contracts and has an extensive understanding of the wider technology market.

Peter Harries

Peter has been in the London Market for over 30 years, latterly as Group Operations Director of Amlin and prior to that as the General Manager of their Aviation Division. His experience encompasses underwriting and underwriting management, claims processing, process reform and IT management – including system vendor selection and implementation and outsourced contracts, as well as programme and project management. Peter has an MBA from Henley and is a Chartered Insurer and ACII.

Philip Brown

Philip is a Project Manager with proven system implementation experience within the insurance industry which he has gained in the last three years. Most recently, Philip has managed the completion of technical and business specifications to inform the configuration of a pan-European system implementation together with managing the end-to-end testing cycle. Philip's particular expertise is in data management, including developing and designing methodologies for data conversion, data warehousing and data archiving.

Phillipa Pope

Phillipa's project management expertise covers business process re-engineering, change management and system implementation projects in the Insurance and Recruitment sectors over the past 5 years. Phillipa's relationship management skills enables her to engage stakeholders in change within an organisation, which she has used successfully in previous communication and change strategy projects that she has managed. Most recently Phillipa has programme managed a multi-system implementation programme within a large multi-national organisation.

Sebastian Spriggs

Sebastian is a graduate from the University of Manchester; his excellent relationship management, and analysis, skills enhance his capabilities as a Management Consultant. His experience as a risk management analyst has given him a strong set of skills that, along with his ongoing insurance qualifications, have made him a valuable member of Watertrace’s consultancy team. He has been engaged in a number of major projects; most notably, working with senior members of organisations on business process reengineering and data warehouse reporting projects.

Sophie Jamal

Sophie’s degree in Modern Languages from Cambridge University has given her a valuable basis for her career in Management Consultancy. Her previous role project managing the production of financial reports for major international organisations, such as Carrefour, has given her a strong understanding of the workings of global enterprises, and has enhanced her communication and analytical skills. Most recently, Sophie has been involved in one of Watertrace’s international projects, training staff in Paris for a large multi-national organisation. Her excellent linguistic and relationship management skills enable her to work effectively with a large spectrum of clients.

Sue Davies

Experienced in Project Management and Business Analysis for the Insurance Industry, Sue has recently been engaged to managed the data conversion of multiple legacy systems into a newly implemented Policy Administration System. Prior to this engagement, Sue was responsible for the design and management of a company-wide Sales and Customer relationship management system implementation, in line with a newly developed sales strategy. Sue's key focus is on innovative products for data management within the insurance industry.
